Catering

Priory Street Centre does not provide on site catering, and most of our regular clients use a small group of outside catering companies. You can contact them directly or let us arrange catering on your behalf.

We can provide a good quality buffet lunch for around £5.50 per person, which includes...

  • sandwiches with a wide selection fillings

  • savouries (cocktail chicken satay, onion bhaji, samosas etc)

  • dips and chips

  • delicious cakes

  • fresh fruit and fruit juice

Our standard lunch is a mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, which can be tailored to individual requirements and we can offer catering for a wide range of specialist dietary, cultural or religious needs. Where possible, we ask our suppliers to source fair trade or local produce that is organic, free range and GM free.

Refreshments

Priory Street Centre has a number of drinks options available to suit all budgets...

We can arrange pots of fair trade teas and filter coffee (along with biscuits) for £1.40 per person - per serving.

We can also offer drinks from our fair trade vending machines at 50p per cup. These machines are in each room and can either be switched to 'pay per cup' (so individuals attending your event buy their own drinks) OR switched to free vend, so that people can just help themselves to drinks and we add the cost to your final invoice. There is a counter in each machine - so you only pay for what is actually used by your group.

Alternatively, the conference area kitchen has a wall mounted boiler, so groups can bring along tea and coffee and make their own refreshments.

In addition to hot drinks, Priory Street Centre provides cold filtered water which is free of charge. These water coolers are supplied by AquAid, a social enterprise that uses some of its profits to supply and maintain fresh water pumps in developing countries. These coolers are in the Denham Room, Clementhorpe Room, Main Hall kitchen area and reception.

Other Information

It is the Centre policy to donate any large amounts of leftover food to charities working with homeless people. We also provide facilities to recycle our plastic drinks cups.

Please note that menus may vary slightly dependent upon ingredient availability, and alternative options will be provided if this is the case.
All catering prices are subject to VAT charged at 17.5% and there is a 10% admin charge where we source from outside suppliers.

A list of nearby restaurants, cafes and sandwich shops can be found on our other resources section.
