Introduction
Priory
Street Centre is a voluntary sector resource venue situated in the heart of York, a beautiful city with well-preserved medieval buildings and the
largest Gothic cathedral in Britain.
It
has been developed by
York Council for Voluntary Service to meet the needs of the
not-for-profit sector and its
central location and proximity to York railway station makes it an
ideal venue for conference events of national and regional importance,
while the affordability
and accessibility of our rooms keep
the venue well within the reach of small local organisations.
The
range of activities at Priory Street Centre not only reflects the
diversity of the voluntary sector, but also demonstrates the
flexibility of the venue, which can be adapted to facilitate a variety
of events from large-scale conferences seating up to 200 people,
through to boardroom style meetings, training activities, road shows
and community events.
Priory Street Centre provides a wide range of audio-visual
equipment and on-site technical support at little or no extra cost,
including wireless telephone conferencing facilities, interactive digital whiteboards, wi-fi internet connection, high
resolution data-projectors,
laptops,
audio CD/MP3 players/recorders
and digital cameras, as well as
VCR/DVD
players,
flip charts,
OHPs
and slide projectors.
The main
conference room also has an interactive touch screen lectern and a
full PA system with radio microphones.
